Social media is evolving at a rapid pace, and it can be daunting for marketers and entrepreneurs alike to keep pace.
This is where social media scheduling tools can help you publish content consistently and save precious time that you can then devote to more essential tasks.
By using the right scheduling tools, you can have an active presence on all your social channels and perfectly time your posts on each channel by scheduling content in advance.
In this article, we’ll reveal 12 of the best social media scheduling tools you can use to manage your social media channels and optimize your social presence.
Table of Contents
Buffer was my favorite social media scheduling tool for the longest time (until I started using Publer and SocialBee – see #2 and #3). I’ve been using their services for over seven years. I love the simplicity of the interface and the ease with which you can post, schedule, and analyze content on all your social media accounts. It’s the ideal social media scheduler for solopreneurs, bloggers, and small business owners.
The customer support team is also very friendly and responds promptly to customer queries via chat or Twitter. On a side note, if you like listening to marketing podcasts, then be sure to tune into their weekly podcast The Science of Social Media.
Buffer Pricing Plans
Buffer’s free plan allows you to schedule up to 10 posts per day to 3 social accounts. If you upgrade to the Essentials plan, you can add unlimited social accounts and schedule unlimited posts. With the Essentials plan, you can also connect your Pinterest profile and start scheduling content there using Buffer.
Here are Buffer’s pricing plans:
- Free – $0/mo (1 user, 3 social accounts, 10 scheduled posts per social account)
- Essentials – $6/mo (1 user, unlimited social accounts, unlimited scheduling)
Publer is a social media scheduling tool that helps you post, schedule, and analyze your content on all major social channels. One of my favorite things about this tool is its minimalistic user interface. You can connect your social accounts and start scheduling content within minutes.
Some of Publer’s unique features include Google My Business (GMB) integration, auto-scheduling, and bulk media uploader.
Editor’s Note: If you’d like to learn more about Publer’s key features such as auto-scheduling posts, recurring and recycling posts, watch my in-depth Publer review and tutorial below:
Publer Pricing Plans
Publer’s free plan allows you to connect up to 5 social accounts and schedule up to 50 posts. If you’d like to add more social accounts and additional team members, you’ll need to upgrade to Publer’s Argentum plan.
Here’s the pricing structure Publer follows:
- Free – $0 (5 social accounts, 50 scheduled posts)
- Argentum – $19/mo (10 social accounts, unlimited posts, 1 additional team member)
- Aurum – $34/mo (10 social accounts, unlimited posts, 1 team member + premium features)
The pricing for Argentum and Aurum changes as you add more social accounts and team members. To learn more about Publer’s pricing plans, visit their pricing page.

Thanks to AppSumo, I was able to secure lifetime access to SocialBee’s Accelerate plan a few months ago. And I’ve been in love with this social media tool ever since.
SocialBee is an all-in-one social media tool that lets you schedule posts, curate content, and grow your audience. SocialBee works as a social media scheduler, but it also helps you automate the whole process by assigning each post to a specific content category, making it easier for you to schedule content based on categories, rather than individual posts.
SocialBee’s best feature, from my own experience, is something called “Evergreen posting.” All content creators know the importance of evergreen content i.e., content that stays relevant forever. Evergreen content can be anything – a blog post, a video, a podcast episode, or even a quote.
With SocialBee, you need not waste time sharing such posts again and again. Once a content category is set to be “Evergreen”, the tool keeps recycling that content until you want to.

SocialBee has no free plan, but you can try the tool for free for 14 days. Below are the 3 main pricing plans of SocialBee:

- Accelerate – $39/mo (1 workspace, 10 social networks, 50 content categories)
- Pro – $79/mo (5 workspaces, 25 social networks, unlimited content categories)
